ok this is just a rant/reply to a note i got from a friend who will remain nameless cuz im not sure if they would like what i gotta say...though im sure because of the topic they'll know who i'm talking about

ok for the sake of this note,my friend will be named "Tink" and the other person related in this rant/reply will be named "Gomez"...
cuz i like that name,ok! -.-so i get this note from Tink and its just a copied and pasted message of what Gomez said to her.
im guessing she commented on one of his drawings and used the Japanese word for
cute,
Kawaii.Gomez (obvisously from the message) didnt like this, which i can understand completely, and though i feel a bit bad about going against my friend Tink,i'm on Gomez's side on this one.
now i am learning japanese on my own,and sure u might say "your just a silly fan girl who likes japanese stuff cause u think its cool!"...and yes...thats absolutely true.i love the japanese culture (not really sure why,and i really dont care why,i just like it).i plan on taking a japanese course while in college but before i do that i wanted to at least learn the basics so im not totally clueless while in the class.
but just because i know [very little] japanese,i dont go blurting out the simple words i know.most people dont know im learning japanese unless they see one of my work books hanging out of my binder,of me practicing some Hiragana during class breaks.unlike my friend Tink who, when confused or even frustrated, shouts out "NANI??!!!" (which means
What? in jap.) even if the situation doesnt call for that question.
i dont like when people randomly blurt out things they arent sure of just because they heard of it before.
Gomez said in his message
"One day, you'll come across someone who speaks Japanese fluently and leave them a comment a like that a receive a similar reply."which i completely agree with.
now i have another friend who is learning korean.she knows a lot so far and continues to progress.and sometimes she too blurts out little things, and though it is annoying at first, she usuallly explains the meaning of it because she has engulfed her thoughts within the language.kinda like me.i dont blurt out random japanese words unless i recognize them on a billboard or poster or something like that, and then i explain to her what it is or why the character was used in a certain way or whatever.

"And for all that you know, I might've not known what 'kawaii' meant. Oh? Just because I drew something anime style makes it automatic that I know what 'kawaii' meant?...Keep that in mind when leaving comments to other people. It's just like when a Russian person leaves a Russian comment to someone who doesn't even speak or understand Russian.
"now this hit the nail on the head when i read it.i completely agree with it.
i have another friend who is learning japanese with me and we study together, nut aside from when studying,we dont speak japanese together because (now lets be honest) we dont know diddly.we practice pronunciation together...and thats about it.SHE IS THE ONLY PERSON I SPEAK SENTENCES IN JAPANESE TO.if someone is speaking to me in english...than i will speak english to them back.if someone is speaking to me in spanish I [will try my darnedest to] speak back to them in spanish.if someone speaks to me in japanese,i will probably say "hey,im studying japanese too

" then ask if they wouldnt mind speaking english (since it would make things more simple and convenient).
lol, also they sent her a little picture, which was kinda mean, but i have to admit i started to ROFL when i saw it xD --->>>
[link] ...turns out i

ed this a really long time ago, lmao.
so i am very sorry to my friend
Tink for not agreeing with u on this one.but this is how i feel, and i didnt write up this entry to annoy or get you mad,but i thought it was a good subject.
so for those who will read this and yet again say "omg ur just another japan-fan,and ur only learning the launguage cuz u think its cool!",i just wanna say ...."so,we're on the same page then ^^.good to know everyone understands where i'm coming from
